07 01 2015 NEW LASER PROJECT IN BELGIUM

CYRPA has received an order for a HITM laser patient positioning system to the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels. This new installation in the hospital will allow cancer patients in Belgium to receive improved quality of care and comfort, partly due to the fact that CYRPA contributes to maintain the highest accuracy in patient positioning to allow the best radiotherapy treatment. CYRPA is very proud to have its first project in Belgium in one of the most renowned hospitals in the country.

The HITM (High Impact Technology Motorised) is a patient alignment system that is installed in the linear accelerator room or treatment room. The HITM system is compatible with all linear accelerators. As it is adaptable to each radiation treatment room, the positioning device HITM distinguishes itself even more by the great precision (an accuracy of +/- 0,1mm) it allows when positioning patients. Furthermore it performs a fast and automatic adjustment of the laser patient positioning system.

The Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc is affiliated with the Catholic University of Louvain; it opened its doors in 1976.  The King Albert II Cancerology and Hematology Institute at The Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, is a leader radiation therapy center in Belgium. With over 120 medical executives for 50 beds, 4 linear accelerators and 1 Pet-CT, they have the ability to provide optimum care for patients.
